Big Development!

This morning at 6:40am I sat up from the pillow by myself twice! Mom went to get Dad to show him, but I am not a circus act so I wouldn't do it anymore. Ha! Also, I was a little upset with Mom because yesterday she dressed us in matching outfits and went to the mall. How humiliating!

Colts are 4-0

In case you missed the game yesterday - The Colts are 4 and 0! Dallas Clark was on fire! You may think that a three month old wouldn't be interested in football, but I love watching the game on Daddy's huge t.v. I remember watching my team win the Superbowl from Mommy's tummy. Go Colts!

**NOTE TO JOURNAL READERS** Originally I had 5 and 0, but a diligent Colts hater wrote to inform me that they are only 4 and 0 so I apologize for the mistake. Be sure to tune in next week when my team really IS 5 and 0. Go Colts!

Go Team Vandygriff!

This is how Mom and I look when we go for our daily walks. I am finally big enough to face forward when we go! Thank Goodness because I was getting really bored with the view facing mom and I was getting whiplash trying to see everything that's going on around me.

Measuring up

Daddy couldn't wait for my next Dr. Appt. to see how big I've gotten so he broke out his tape measure. Looks like I'm about 2 feet tall. Lookout Dad, only 4 more feet until I've gotcha!

Eau de Similac

Aunty Rachel is very pretty. She even smells pretty! That was a treat because I don't know what kind of perfume Mom wears, but she usually smells like spoiled milk. Somebody needs to tell her - but not me!

Uncle Smoke Diggity

This morning Uncle Robb and Aunty Rachel Smoker stopped by!

Uncle Robb was very interesting and I couldn't stop looking at him.

I wear my K Swiss

On Thursday mom put shoes on me for the first time ever. They didn't slow me down one bit. Thanks Mollie and Brady White for the cool kicks!

In case you haven't seen me

Here are some close ups in case you haven't been by lately. I am really big on smiling and talking now. I have a lot to say and I really like to try to say "hi." I have also grown a neck! I love to practice holding my enormous knoggin up. I also like to practice sitting upright. I haven't quite grown into my big eyes yet, but I'm getting there!

English Lady

This is my Uncle Gavin's Stepmum June. I met her last weekend and I pretty much fell in love. She is very little - just like me! Also she is so nice and her accent is really cool! I wish she didn't live so far away in England because she is really great! Next time she comes, we'll have a spot o tea and a bit of a chat.

Bath time

This is what I look like when I've just had a bath. It's pretty cold when you just get out of the tub so Mommy likes to wrap me up pretty tight. Then I get a little massage. It's a rough life...

Grandma's Couch

There's something magical about Grandma's couch. Everytime Daddy or I lay down on it, we're O-U-T out! I think it must be all the good food we eat just before we get to the couch.

Pastor Feichtner

This is Pastor F, Daddy, Mommy and I at the end of my Baptism. I was a little cranky. A guy can only stay around talking after church for so long...

My Godparents

These are my SUPER Godparents Uncle Scott and Aunt Marianne. They were awesome at my Baptism and I'm so happy to have them!

Malachi and I

This is my cousin Malachi and I. We just met last weekend. He was giving me a weird look so I got upset. We made up quickly though and took a nice nap together on Grandma's couch. I'm glad you're here Malachi! Can't wait to see you again.

Uncle Vinnie

Well Uncle Vinnie was over last night and he gave me some guff for not updating my journal enough so I made sure to wake up early to update. I think he must be some kind of neat freak or something because he kept trying to get everyone to turn on the vaccuum. Weird... Anyway, Grandma sent a CD of pictures from my Baptism Weekend so here they are!

Baptized!

I had another busy weekend last week. Mom, Dad and I went back up to South Bend. We stayed with Papa John and Nana on Friday night, and then on Saturday we went to Grandma's. Grandma had an open house so I could meet all my cousins. There were LOTS of kids there. I got to meet the newest family member Malachi(I'm not the youngest!). He's a cute kid. I remember that age - he has so much to learn... HA! Owen was there, and Jacob, Jayden, Kileigh, Brady, Allison and lots of neighborhood kids. I also got to meet Georgie - what a great dog! Sunday was a BIG day for me. I went to church and got baptized! Mom cried more than I did. I think mommies cry just as much as babies. Mine cries everytime I do something new. Geez! Uncle Scott and Aunt Marianne were my Godparents. I am lucky to have such great Godparents to be examples for me. Here are some pictures from the big day.

2nd generation of TROUBLE!

These are my buddies Vann Opperman and Jared Koski. Our Daddies get into lots of trouble together. Today, our mommies got us together. Vann is the oldest so he will have to sneak us into the good Disney movies. Jared is the youngest, and I am right in the middle. Vann is a Cubs fan like me. Jared slept most of the time while I was there. He is only two weeks old! He weighed the same as I did when I was born. What a cool guy. I can't wait til we can all play together again. See you soon dudes!

What a weekend!

On Sunday Grandma and Mom took me to chuch and then out to eat. Then Mom and I drove home and I slept all the way to Carmel! I couldn't wait to get home and tell Dad all about my weekend. Thanks everyone for the good time in South Bend. I'll see you again soon.

Me and my Oma

I got to meet my Oma! She's been a mom to SO many people. We all love her very much. She gave me some very cool Michael Jordan Collectibles. Thanks Oma! I love you!

Dangerous Duo

My cousin Owen is so big and cool. I can't wait til I am big enough to play with him. Lookout!! Hey Owen, wait up dude!

Rachel & Owen

Aunt Rachel and Cousin Owen came to see me! Aunty Rachel is so pretty, and Owen is so cool! I had fun with them.

Grandpa's Chair

I like hanging out in Grandpa's Chair. Hey Mom - where's my coffee and the paper?

To Grandmother's House we go!

I had my first road trip without Mommy sitting next to me in the back seat. I did really well! Here are some pictures of me with Grandma and Grandpa. I also got to see my Oma and Opa. I had a fantastic time. Got lots of sleep, and ate so much! Grandma was worried about me missing my swing, but since she and grandpa held and cuddled me so much, I didn't miss it at all! Thanks for a great weekend!

Not quite yet...

Daddy wanted me to try out my saucer so Mommy put it together and put me in it. It doesn't look like I'm big enough just yet. I really like it though!

Are these people really my relatives??

On Sunday I went to the Vandygriff Family Reunion. For me it was a "union" because I'd never met any of those people! Uncle Scott and Papa John and Mama Chris were there. Mama Chris worked her magic and put me right to sleep when I got fussy. Here's a picture of me and my Papa John. My shirt says "Are these people really my relatives?" I was a big hit! I won The youngest member of the family award this year. I can't wait to see them all again!

Colts 2007 Season begins!!

On Thursday I watched my first Colts game with Mom, Dad, and Uncle Phil. We smoked em! Go Colts!

Uncle Phil!

The best part of last week was on Thursday when Uncle Phil came to see me! He came all the way from Canada on a plane. I really really like my Uncle Phil. He has great hair that cracks me up every time I see it. We hung out alot. He taught me some great tricks too. Mommy tried to unteach a few of them, but don't worry Unc. I've got em down! Here are some pictures of my time with Uncle Phil.

Practice makes perfect

Since I am now so big, Daddy has been working on my walking skills with me. I really like it!

No I am not yet crawling, but Daddy has high hopes for me ;).

2 Months Old!

Sorry I haven't been writing lately. I've been pretty busy. I had my 2 month birthday. It was the WORST day of my life! I had to go see Dr. Jim and he caused me a lot of pain. Mommy and I were both crying. I don't know about that guy... Anyway - the good news is that I've grown another inch to 23" and I gained another 2.6 pounds this month. That puts me at 11.8lbs and it's a good thing because I could take the higher dosage of Children's Tylenol and man did I need it! Here's a picture of me at two months. I haven't learned how to hold up two fingers just yet. Maybe I'll have that down for 2 years.
